Le Code CRAFT reconnaît, à juste titre, que la volonté politique de limiter l'exposition aux minerais provenant des régions de conflits et de violence est en hausse dans les principaux marchés.
The CRAFT Code rightly recognizes that political will to limit exposure to minerals originating from areas of conflict and violence is on the rise in key markets.
À ce chapitre, le Code CRAFT présente une possibilité extraordinaire pour les communautés du SMA d'obtenir un accès transformateur, durable et à long terme au marché.
"In this regard, the CRAFT Code represents a tremendous opportunity for transformative, sustainable and long-term market access for ASM communities."
Nos observations concernant le Code CRAFT portent sur les enjeux liés à l'égalité hommes-femmes dans le SMA et au rôle unique des communautés autochtones dans la gestion durable des ressources naturelles, souligne Priya Bala-Miller, directrice de l'Élaboration des programmes à l'ICIRD.
