Prin Decizia 2004/387/CE din 21 aprilie 2004 s-a creat un program pentru furnizarea interoperabilă de servicii paneuropene de guvernare electronică în folosul administraţiilor publice europene, al instituţiilor Comunităţii şi al altor entităţi, precum şi al întreprinderilor şi cetăţenilor europeni (Programul IDABC).
Decision 2004/387/EC of 21 April 2004 created a programme for the interoperable delivery of pan-European eGovernment services to public administrations, Community institutions and other entities and to European businesses and citizens (the IDABC programme).
Programul IDABC se încheie în 31 decembrie 2009 și ar trebui să fie urmat de un program al Comunității privind interoperabilitatea soluțiilor pentru administrațiile publice europene (programul ISA) care răspunde provocărilor menționate anterior.
The IDABC programme comes to an end on 31 December 2009 and should be succeeded by a Community programme on interoperability solutions for European public administrations (the ISA programme) which meets the abovementioned challenges.
